Chief among the mountains which rise from the eastern shore of Loch Maree is Slioch.

Loch Maree

Loch Maree is a large loch near Gairloch, Wester Ross. Slopes contain the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve and a fragment of the Caledonian forest. It has several islands, one of which, Isle Maree, held a cell of St Maelrubha.
