The Great Glen

The Jacobite Clans of the Great Glen 1650–1784 investigates the Scottish clan system and its conflicts with the Cromwellian and Hanoverian armies. It explores the history of a group of clans in the central Highlands of Scotland; Frasers, Grants, MacDonalds and Macphersons can be seen struggling with the threat posed by the Mackenzies, Mackintoshes, Gordons and Campbells, as well as with the dilemmas and opportunities of the conflicts between the rival Stuart and Hanoverian dynasties.
