Loch Long

Loch Long is long, narrow, deep inlet of the Firth of Clyde that extends sixteen miles northeast from Kilcreggan at the southern end of the Rosneath peninsula to Arrochar. At Arrochar it is only two miles from Loch Lomond, and it was across this strip of land that the Vikings pulled their boats to raid central Scotland before the Battle of Largs.
