Loch Katrine

Loch Katrine is a large loch in the Trossachs, eight miles west of Callander. Since 1859 it has been a major source of water for Glasgow. It features in Sir Walter Scott’s poem ‘The Lady of the Lake’, with Ellen’s Isle at its eastern end.
