Loch Sween

Loch Sween is a sea loch in Argyll, running parallel to the Sound of Jura, south of crinan. Castle Sween on its eastern shore dates back to the 12th century; in the care of Historic Scotland, as are medieval chapels at Kilmory Knap and Keills, which contain outstanding West Highland sculptured grave slabs. The village of Tayvallich is near its northern end.
