Loch Broom is long sea loch on the north-west coast, running southeast to northwest. Ullapool is near the end of its narrower southerly section, and where it widens into the Minch are the Summer Isles. Lochbroom is a name for the area round Loch Broom, and specifically an extensive parish, one of the largest in Scotland.
